Naturopathic Medicine
Care with the time to listen, and a plan built around your life. In Kelowna and virtually across BC.
What Naturopathic Medicine Looks Like at Ivy
Naturopathic medicine at Ivy is evidence-informed, and unhurried on purpose. Your first visit runs a full 60 minutes, long enough for a real intake, and your follow-ups are long enough to review what is working and adjust from there.
If a test or a supplement won't change your plan, we won't recommend it. That restraint is part of the point. Our naturopathic doctors look at the whole picture of your health, order lab work only when it adds something, and can prescribe where it fits.
We work alongside your family doctor and specialists, because you get better care when everyone treating you is connected. You will leave with a plan and a clear sense of what comes next.
A note from our founder.
Naturopathic medicine lets me see a patient through the whole picture of their care. It lets me help them feel heard, understand what's happening, and know what options are available to them.
Most of the people who come to Ivy have been looking for answers for a long time. So when they first sit down with one of our NDs, they feel heard. They feel taken care of. They feel relieved. They leave with a plan and a direction.
I'm proud to lead a team of naturopathic doctors and to instill the same values across every visit. We have more time with people. We connect with them. We are part of their care, not just a small piece of it.

A naturopathic doctor (ND) is a regulated primary care provider in British Columbia. NDs complete a four-year post-graduate medical program and are licensed by the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC. At Ivy, our NDs use lab testing, nutrition, lifestyle support, prescription therapies, and bioidentical hormones where appropriate.
-
Two things. First, time. Every first visit is 60 minutes and every follow up is long enough to actually review progress. Second, we do not push supplements or testing that doesn’t change your plan. We want you to feel heard, understand what is happening, and leave with a clear sense of what comes next.
-
MSP does not cover naturopathic visits in BC. Most extended health plans include naturopathic coverage, and we provide a detailed receipt after every visit for you to submit. If you are unsure whether your plan covers ND care, our front desk team can help you confirm before your first appointment.
-
Yes. Our NDs offer virtual visits to patients anywhere in British Columbia. Virtual visits are the same length as in-person visits and include the same lab ordering and written plan. Requisitions are sent to a local LifeLabs near you.
-
A meet and greet is a short complimentary appointment to help you decide if an ND at Ivy is the right fit before booking a full consult. It is a bookable option on our Jane schedule. If you already know you want to start, you can book a full consult directly.
-
Yes. Our NDs work alongside family physicians, gynecologists, and other specialists. We believe care works best when your providers are connected and communicating. We’re happy to share notes or write letters to your other providers when you want us to. Letters and clinical notes may have an additional documentation fee associated with them, charged separately from your visit. Just let your ND know what you need at the end of your appointment.
Ready when you are.
Whether you already know what you want to work on, or you just want to meet one of our NDs first, we have a way in for you.
